The Medilink Healthcare Business Awards celebrate outstanding innovations and successes in the medical technology sector, and we’re honoured to be recognised for our work delivering patient and clinician led virtual ward services across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
In the first 12 months, the Trust has achieved incredible results, including saving 3,228 hospital bed days and realising efficiency savings of £1.13 million. But it’s not just about the numbers—our services are making a profound difference to patients’ lives by providing hospital-level care at home.
The Leeds virtual ward model has quickly become one of the best-practice models in the NHS, with the potential to expand further across the country. Today, we’re proud to say that services are now running across 14 specialities and growing, offering tailored care across a wide range of needs. The success of this model highlights its ability to provide safe, effective care while driving significant efficiencies – a powerful combination that can transform how healthcare is delivered.
